Divorce is the legal termination of the marriage relationship. The divorce process is carried out by family law attorneys (each separated spouse chooses his own lawyer) and covers a range of topics from property sharing to child custody. While it is important to hire a lawyer who is dominating your economic and other interests in the divorce, it is very important to find a lawyer where you feel comfortable at the personal level. Divorce is an intense emotional process that requires sensitive human skills in addition to legal knowledge.

Most divorce cases, especially those with child support, custody and complex property problems, are more favorable with the advice of a divorce lawyer.

Conditions to Know

Custody: To have your child’s rights. Custody means that you have the right to make important decisions about your child’s well-being, that is, the child lives with you and is raised by you.

Pre-Marriage Agreement: An agreement between a man and a woman, where they give up their rights to each other’s property in the event of divorce or death before marriage.

Issues in Divorce

Basically, divorce is a legal process in which the two parties end their legal and financial relations. In general, however, most divorces involve disagreements on issues such as child custody or cost sharing. The main issues the divorce lawyer deals with are:

Sharing of Goods: Goods acquired from both spouses after the date of marriage are accepted as goods acquired on condition that they meet the legal conditions and they are subject to division according to this regime.

Alimony: Alimony or spouse support is a monthly payment made by a spouse in accordance with a settlement agreement or court order. Alimony aims to correct the unfair economic effects of divorce.

Child Support: The child support is a monthly payment made by the parent to the parent parent, which will be spent for the child’s needs.

Custody of Children: When a family is divided, parents and the court have to decide what will be the best for young children, where to live and how to make decisions. This is often the most difficult part of divorce proceedings.
